  This guy has a HORRIBLE answering service. He ordered a ultrasound for my husband who was seen at Memorial Hermann Tirr by this Dr. He said that my husband could have a possible blood clot. (Leg suddenly swollen) ..... Starting over: Let me make it VERY CLEAR that my husband was NOT seeing him for any type of plastic surgery. My husband was referred to him because of an extremely bad pressure sore that he has been dealing with for a while now. (He is paraplegic) The morning of the appointment my husbands right leg was very swollen. When Dr. Altamira saw him, he ordered an ultrasound and then just left. No call. Nothing. This situation can actually be very serious..... Or maybe not. Either way, we would like to know. My husband calls the answering service to try and get a call through to him with his concerns, and she literally YELLS at him and is very rude. We were instructed that he is the only one on call during the weekends (no on call nurse) and that they ARE NOT under any circumstances allowed to call him because a patient is concerned about getting test results. I'm sorry but that's not exactly what I want to hear when I'm concerned of a Blood clot!!!!! Anyhow, as a plastic surgeon I don't know and don't care. As a Dr. Working with Patients that actually have real medical issues. NO WAY. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Oh! And I have an answering service that I use for my residents/tenants in case of emergencies. These calls are all recorded. I hope that this doctor will take 5 minutes to listen to the way that lady talks to his concerned patients. That is all.

  He is such an amazing Doctor,he take his time and he is a very caring and loving Doctor who really and truly care about his patients and have a great office team ,.Everyone in the office is very friendly and has great team of people working behind him
