  Even with me being High Risk I was forced to work 12 hr nights 4 days a week until 2 weeks shy of my due date I decided to use my personal vacation time. After breaking out in hives due to something called PAPS and being a few days pass due I was finally going in to be induced ! He began by giving pitocin and crank it up around every 20 or 30 minutes. I ended up having a 9 lb 15 oz boy vaginaly in 4 hours .He was born with fluid in his lungs because the birth was forced so rapidly. Then without warning I began to hemorrhage big time. A code was called to my bedside and I had around 10-12 combined Doctors and nurses standing over me just in case I went into shock because I was loosing so much blood. Pressing with full force on my stomach to help me pass the grapefruit sized clots that had formed inside my womb while I continuously pushed like I was having another baby. I was forced back to work after 6 weeks even though I explained to Dr. Turrentine on several occasions that I wanted to take my full 12 weeks that was allowed to me through my work.

  Excellent, professional, knowledgeable, experienced obstetrician. Unfortunately, he made a VERY bad decision in choosing his clinic RN, Brandi Lyons. While Dr. Turrentine is very professional, his nurse is nothing short of a hoodrat, trailer trash, low-life who assumes that all pregnant women who show up to the clinic for care "made mistakes in getting pregnant"--and has no reservations in voicing her opinions to the patients. Her demeanor is so horrible that we petitioned the hospital to have her permanently removed from our care--and that's not something to be taken lightly. If it weren't for his nurse and being submissive to his business partners, Dr. T would receive a 5-star rating. So beware, if you choose to use Dr. Turrentine as your routine Ob/Gyn, be prepared to deal with an extremely disrespectful nurse. Honestly, I'd recommend you choose another Ob/Gyn solely due to the demeanor of his nurse so you don't have to deal with that we had to go through in getting her permanently removed from our care.
